Summary

  • A salad ingredient laid in the placed bowl now shows as its layer's bowl model from salads.yml models (a small heap of dice, leaves, slices or strips), picked by type, origin and state like a sandwich layer, instead of its flat icon standing up.
  • The ingredient keeps its food data, so tossing, taking back and breaking the bowl work as before, and the tossed salad keeps showing the heaps.
  • Heaps spread around the bowl at spread-radius, each slot slightly higher than the last; an ingredient without a model still shows as in hand, closer to the middle.
  • Layer models can name {type}, for layers whose types share origins (cut and chopped carrot, pork and red meat).

Documentation impact

README salad section updated; new salads.yml keys (models, spread-radius) are documented in the YAML's comments.

Contract

No change to existing item data or commands. The bowl models are ItemsAdder items (salad_bowl_*) that live in the server's pack config, not in this repo; without them an ingredient falls back to its in-hand look. Has run on Dev since 2026-11-01.

An ingredient laid in a salad bowl now shows as its layer's bowl model from
salads.yml models (a small heap of dice, leaves, slices, strips...), picked by
its type, origin and state like a sandwich layer, instead of its flat icon
standing up. It keeps its food data, so tossing, taking back and breaking work
as before, and the tossed salad keeps the heaps showing. Heaps spread around
the bowl at spread-radius, each slot a hair higher than the last; an
ingredient without a model still shows as in hand, closer in.

Layer models can now name {type}, for layers whose types share origins (cut
and chopped carrot, pork and red meat).
