nth_value and approx_percentile_cont silently ignore DISTINCT
apache/datafusion#26497 · opened on Oct 19, 2026
1
Null-aware NOT IN hash join in Partitioned mode returns rows when the subquery contains NULL
apache/datafusion#26496 · opened on Oct 19, 2026
1
COPY … STORED AS JSON (and INSERT INTO a JSON table) drops every MAP entry whose value is NULL: {color: red, size: NULL} is written as {"color":"red"}
Bug
apache/datafusion#26493 · opened on Oct 19, 2026
COPY … PARTITIONED BY writes partition values containing = unescaped (p0=x=y); DuckDB and Polars cannot read the dataset or silently drop the partition column
Bug
apache/datafusion#26492 · opened on Oct 19, 2026
1
Parquet bloom filter pruning drops rows holding the other signed zero: WHERE c = 0.0 misses -0.0 rows (and vice versa)
Bug
apache/datafusion#26491 · opened on Oct 19, 2026
1
Plain SELECT of a Parquet float column returns wrong values: NaN rows are replaced by the statistics constant when min == max
Bug
apache/datafusion#26490 · opened on Oct 19, 2026
Physical optimizer drops SortExec below OFFSET when an aggregate consumes the subquery
Bug
apache/datafusion#26488 · opened on Oct 19, 2026
EPIC: Separate optimizer rules from correctness transformation rules
apache/datafusion#26481 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
Support hash-partitioned execution in AsOfJoinExec for memory-bounded joins
Feature
apache/datafusion#26478 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
1
Parquet scans still set up a reader for files whose row groups are all pruned
Bug
apache/datafusion#26475 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
Planning a query with many aggregate or window expressions slows down quadratically
Bug
apache/datafusion#26473 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
corr, covar_pop, covar_samp and regr_* silently ignore DISTINCT
apache/datafusion#26471 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
1
bit_xor over a sliding window frame returns 0 instead of NULL when the frame has only NULLs
apache/datafusion#26470 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
1
Internal error: CAST to an extension-type field over a non-null column, under an aggregate (logical vs physical nullability)
apache/datafusion#26469 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
coerce_int96 leaves INT96 in two-level and legacy Parquet lists as nanoseconds
apache/datafusion#26463 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
ORDER BY on a source column fails when a select item is aliased to that column's name
apache/datafusion#26462 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
1
Physical plan check does not cover appended optimizer rules and does not name the rule that broke the plan
apache/datafusion#26460 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
Scans of tables with a declared ordering use count-based file groups, so uneven files make them up to 3x slower
apache/datafusion#26457 · opened on Oct 18, 2026
Wrong results: UNION ALL ... ORDER BY ... LIMIT when a sort key is constant per arm (partitioned TopK shares a threshold over a shortened key)
Bug
apache/datafusion#26454 · opened on Oct 17, 2026
Incorrect Parquet pruning for timestamp-to-time casts across midnight
Bug
apache/datafusion#26451 · opened on Oct 17, 2026
1
Avoid aggregate repartitioning for audited date_trunc on single-key timestamp ranges
apache/datafusion#26448 · opened on Oct 17, 2026
DiskManager in Directories mode creates its temp directories when it is built, even if nothing spills
apache/datafusion#26446 · opened on Oct 17, 2026
TopK aggregation duplicates NaN groups and can panic during eviction
apache/datafusion#26444 · opened on Oct 17, 2026
array_agg(DISTINCT x ORDER BY x) returns values in reverse order when another aggregate orders by x DESC
apache/datafusion#26439 · opened on Oct 17, 2026
ORDER BY ... LIMIT 0 panics in TopK (assertion failed: k > 0) when eliminate_limit does not run
