The bom module inherits from cloudevents-parent, so the published BOM carries the parent (and its dependencyManagement, e.g. the jakarta.jakartaee-bom import) to consumers. Generate the published POM with flatten-maven-plugin in bom mode, which keeps only the project coordinates and its own dependencyManagement, with resolved versions and no parent element.
