Part of #314, phase D of the plan. Stacked on #420 (phase C), itself on #419 and #417.

Conventions: ct-conventions v0.11.0 (SITE rules), ct-agents v0.4.0.

What

  • "All the problems", the former Browser page, is now a gallery. Each problem is a card with:
    • a thumbnail of its solution: the first three state components against time, each scaled to the card, so it shows the shape of the solution;
    • its features;
    • its status in each modeling.
  • Filters by name, modeling and status.
  • Cards / Table switch: the browser table is the second view of the same page. The choice is remembered in the browser; this is a per-viewer convenience, and the page works without it.
  • The page lists every problem, drafts included, since each one has a page. Before, the browser listed the valid problems only. This applies to the table too.
  • Sidebar: Problems → Overview, All the problems, Status. The 22 problem pages are reached from the gallery instead of being listed one by one.

Choices

  • No second source.
    • The features and statuses extend problems.json, which docs/browser.jl already writes (new column Modelings: name, title, status).
    • The thumbnails come from the trajectories the crons publish, reduced at build time by docs/results.jl to 80 points (results/thumbnails.json).
  • The thumbnail's solve: a converged one, from the first modeling, Linux first. Without results the card says "no solution published yet".
  • No README next to tools/cron/report.py, although the plan listed one. The pipeline is described in .github/workflows/README.md ("Results for the documentation", ci: publish the results of the solves for the documentation (#314, phase B) #419), next to the crons it belongs to. A second README would be a second place to keep up to date.

"All the problems" (the former Browser page) shows every problem as a card
(#314): a thumbnail of its solution, drawn from the trajectories the crons
publish (`results/thumbnails.json`, written by `docs/results.jl`), its
features, and its status in each modeling; filters by name, modeling and
status. A Cards/Table switch keeps the browser table as the second view of
the same page. The page lists every problem, drafts included, since each
one has a page.

The sidebar lists Overview, All the problems and Status; the problem pages
are reached from the gallery instead of 22 entries.
