What
Studio scrubbing keeps the last complete picture visible until the requested video layers have decoded. A cold jump between stacked background and alpha-cutout clips no longer reveals captions over black or a cutout without its background.
Why
The preview paints GSAP and clip visibility synchronously while native video seeks finish independently. Moving across cuts can also release and reload media. Long source GOPs make that partial-picture interval visible.
Related work
Overlaps the scene-mounting path touched by #7342; this change coordinates media readiness during seeks rather than changing scene text.
How
Test plan
bun run buildbun run --cwd packages/core typecheckbun run --cwd packages/core test:hyperframe-runtime-ciincluding 2,871 runtime tests, coverage, contract, seek, parity, security and linter gates.The broad core run passed 5,886 tests and hit two unrelated macOS system-font discovery assertions in
systemFontLocator.innerName.test.ts(installed Georgia/Zapfino fonts); those source and test files are unchanged. The dedicated runtime CI suite passes.No application bundle, release, or user project was modified. Canary needs a build containing this change.
