Summary

Housekeeping for the Dependency Dashboard (#39): migrates the deprecated Renovate configuration and applies all pending in-range updates, plus two low-risk major bumps. Everything is verified locally with the project's own targets.

Changes

Renovate config (renovate.json)

• extends: ["config:base"] -> ["config:recommended"] (config:base is a deprecated preset name)
• matchPackagePatterns: ["*"] -> matchPackageNames: ["*"] (the pattern matcher is deprecated)
• Added $schema for editor validation
• Behaviour of the existing rule (grouped, auto-merged minor/patch updates) is unchanged.

Dependencies

• Minor/patch updates within the existing ranges across the workspace (Storybook 8.6.x, Nx 20.8.x, ESLint 9.39, typescript-eslint 8.72, TypeScript 5.9, Vite 6.4, Prettier, tsx, tslib, swc, @changesets/cli, @testing-library/react, @types/react, ...). Lower bounds in package.json were raised to the resolved versions.
• Major bumps (both dev-only, no impact on the published package):
  • eslint-config-prettier 9 -> 10
  • @testing-library/jest-dom 6 -> 7
• pnpm-lock.yaml regenerated.

Intentionally not included

Larger majors stay on the dashboard for dedicated PRs because they are coupled and change tooling behaviour: Nx 20 -> 24 (all @nx/* packages must move together), Storybook 8 -> 10, Vitest/@vitest/* 2 -> 5 with @vitejs/plugin-react 4 -> 6 (and Vite), ESLint/@eslint/js 9 -> 10, @types/node 22 -> 26 (kept at the Node 22 line).

Verification

Run on a clean install (pnpm install --frozen-lockfile, pnpm 9.15.9, Node 22):

• nx run-many --target=test: 8 test files, 24 tests passed
• nx run-many --target=lint: all files pass
• nx run-many --target=build: library and type declarations build successfully

Notes

• Dev-dependency only changes; no change to the library's runtime code or public API, so no changeset is required.
• Remaining peer-dependency warnings (e.g. @storybook/test-runner expecting Storybook 10) are pre-existing and will be addressed by the Storybook major upgrade.
