Changes

  • The /startups landing page now fires Meta Lead on the click into the checkout (dailydotdev/recruiter-landing#673). This PR sends the next funnel steps to the same pixel (519268979315924) from /squads/for-startups:
    • InitiateCheckout when the Paddle checkout first opens, valued at the plan's US list price (49 / 199 USD).
    • Subscribe when the checkout completes, valued at Paddle's total minus tax in the checkout currency. The Paddle transaction id is sent as eventID, so a later Conversions API event from the webhook can be deduplicated against it.
    • Both carry content_name: startups and content_category: <plan>.
  • PixelsContext.trackEvent (unused until now) takes optional Meta params and an event id.

Events

Type event_name value
New (Meta pixel) InitiateCheckout { content_name: 'startups', content_category, value, currency: 'USD' }
New (Meta pixel) Subscribe { content_name: 'startups', content_category, value, currency }, eventID = transaction id

No in-house log events change.

Experiment

None.

Manual Testing

  • Startups checkout spec passes, strict typecheck on the changed files shows only errors that were already there, webapp tsc is clean, and oxlint and oxfmt pass.
  • The pixel only loads in production, so I couldn't watch it fire locally. It can be checked in Meta Events Manager's Test Events on the next live checkout.

…ckout

The Startups landing page now fires Lead on the click into the checkout,
so the rest of the funnel needs its own events on the same pixel:
InitiateCheckout when Paddle opens (plan list price in USD) and Subscribe
on a completed checkout (Paddle total minus tax, in the checkout
currency), with the transaction id as the eventID so a later Conversions
API event can be deduplicated. trackEvent takes the params for this.
